Emery Sakamoto
Dear fabulous first graders and fantastic first grade families,
Hello and welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! I am delighted to be your teacher this year, and I look forward to guiding you through what I'm sure will be nothing short of an incredible school year.
First grade is a very exciting time. Students will grow and evolve into readers, writers, mathematicians, scientists, and passionate global citizens. They will form meaningful friendships and create lasting memories with their peers. It is a journey that will propel young learners forward in their education, and, most importantly, it is a ton of fun!!
This will be my fifth year teaching first grade at Lake Balboa College Prep. LBCP has become a home away from home for me, and I feel so fortunate to be a part of this wonderful community. What I have learned through teaching during these unique and challenging times is that the power of community is substantial and resilient. I am truly honored to be a part of the community that we have built at our school.
As we head into the 2024-2025 school year, I feel excited and energized for the awesome adventures that lay ahead. I look forward to seeing you all very soon!
