Meet Justin!
Dear Students and Parents/Guardians,
I currently serve as the chair of the English department, head coach of our policy debate team, school EGI champion, and editor-in-chief of the school yearbook team.
I have taught at Lake Balboa College Prep for several years now, and I can tell you that this is a special place with an amazing community. I am especially proud of the policy debate team, which I created when I first came to this school.
Students, please bring your materials, computer, and a positive attitude to class every day!

Debate gallery
Our students compete at city-wide (and sometimes nation-wide) tournaments to discus important issues in a competitive tournament format. In the past we have debated criminal justice system reform, water resources protection, the sale of arms to foreign countries, intellectual property rights, and U.S. immigration laws.
The topic for the 25-26 school year is:
“Resolved: The United States federal government should significantly increase its exploration and/or development of the Arctic.”
