Policy Debate

Why Join:

Lake Balboa’s policy debate team is the perfect mix of education and fun. Students can refine their public speaking, become skilled in fast argumentation, and learn about modern day issues. In the debate club kids can also cheer each other on during awards ceremonies, gain friends from different high schools, and adventure through college campuses forming everlasting memories.

With the help of the Los Angeles Metropolitan Debate League (LAMDL), the debate team gets assistance in transportation and no fees to compete. Additionally, the team is fed both days on the two day long tournaments. Open to middle and high school (both of which have records of success), new members are welcomed at any time.
